Turramurra Station

Turramurra is a railway station on the North Shore railway line serving the suburb of Turramurra in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It has two platforms consisting of a single island, accessed by a footbridge at the southern end. Along with Hornsby railway station is the main hub for transport to and from Ku-ring-gai Creative Arts High School.

Turramurra is the 49th most patronised railway station in Sydney (out of a total of 176 stations), with an average of 4850 passengers boarding per day.

History

Turramurra was originally called Eastern Road station.

In 2007 construction commenced on works to provide Easy Access facilities at the station. The existing footbridge was demolished and a temporary one was erected at the opposite end of the platform. The new footbridge and lift were opened on 12 May 2008.

Platforms and services

As of the new Sydney Trains timetables on Sunday the 20th of October 2013: on weekdays the station is served by four trains per hour in each direction for most of the day, with additional trains provided during peak hours; and on weekends the station is served by four trains per hour in each direction for most of the day.
